The leisure facilities around the lake were consciously limited at its creation in 1970;
Only three beaches are accessible:

• Plage de la Mercantine offers pedalo rental, small motorboats (without license), canoes, and a marina.
Free launching.

• Plage de Bellecin: dinghy rental, canoes, catamarans, windsurfers, instruction available.
Guided tours: canyoning, caving, climbing…
Mountain bike rental, archery….

• Plage de Surchauffant: Cruises, water-skiing, marina, free launching.

CThe beaches are sandy with shaded grass areas.
Picnic facilities are available with tables and benches; access to the beaches is free.
In the summer season swimming is supervised.
