Lake
Vouglans has three marinas with full facilities:
Port du Meix: In 1999, the Jura “Conseil Général”
(departmental council) oversaw the first marina’s construction at La Tour
du Meix, which can accommodate 270 boats. It is located in the “high speed”
zone, (zone B). It is the starting point for all speed related activities, essentially
water-skiing and jet skiing. It is also the harbour of the “Louisiane”,
the lakes mini cruise-ship with multilingual commentary. Two circuits are available:
Plage de la Mercantine, (1h30 return trip) and a meal cruise to Vouglans dam
(Barrage de Vouglans).
Port de la Saisse: Inaugurated in spring 2004, Port de la Saisse is home
to 130 boats and smaller fishing boats; it is located in the fishing zone (zone
A).
Port de la Mercantine: Also opened in Spring 2004, Port de la Mercantine
has 270 moorings; it is located in the sailing zone (zone C). It takes about
fifteen minutes to get to the “high speed” zone. This harbour offers
spacious facilities to accommodate the largest of sailing and motorboats.
In all, with its three ports, Lake Vouglans has up to 700 moorings.
Daily, weekly or seasonal rentals are available, enquiries and information available
at the harbours.
